There is such a great deal of hauntingly surreal sexual release in the moment that the woman's soul is being taken by the black bird. Using shades of blue, gray, black, and darker reds make the scene portray a sense of doom and dread that makes me feel like I want to help "Save Her Soul" from whatever dark forces are taking away her soul. The only obvious bright, or vivacious, part of this piece is the necklace. The luminous red of the diamond, or whatever the stone is made out of, is the center of this piece. It portray's life, love, sexual need, and everything that it is to be human. I feel sad because it does seem like she is losing her humanity for something that she may have wanted but didn't understand what she had to sacrafice for it. In the end, I think you did a great job with the technique because you portrayed so many things in just a single scene. The vision of the piece just obvious because of how well you usue the shades of colors. The origniality isn't unique but still adds to the piece very well. The impact, for me, is your greatest assest because it shows that things can, and will, be more complicated than one would want to admit.
